Nordic Energy Services & Blue Planet Energy
Join Forces for a Greener Education
15% of Gross Revenue donated to charities that promote education for clean and sustainable energy.
Willowbrook, IL, February 3 – Nordic Energy Services, LLC, a
leading alternative energy supplier throughout Illinois and NW Indiana, is partnering with
Blue Planet Energy on a new "green" energy education initiative. Nordic Energy and
Blue Planet Energy, an Illinois-based electricity marketer, recently reached
an agreement for Nordic to be Blue Planet's primary supplier of electricity.
"It was very important for us to partner with a local, flexible and innovative
organization for this initiative," said Craig Schuttenberg, President of Blue
Planet Energy. "Working with Nordic will give us the opportunity to significantly
expand our donations to energy and environmental education programs for K-12 students."
The agreement incorporates Blue Planet Energy's core value of supporting
environmental education. A donation totaling 15% of Blue Planet Energy's
gross revenue from electricity supplied by Nordic Energy will be donated to
501(c)(3) not-for-profits that promote education on energy, the environment
and sustainability for students K-12. Currently donations have been made to
four programs: Education and Actions for a Sustainable Energy Efficiency
(www.EASEE-USA.org); Alliance to Save Energy Green Schools
(www.ase.org/programs/green-schools-program);"e" inc.
(www.e-action.us); and
Solar One (www.solar1.org). Clients also have the option of
directing donation dollars to a 501(c)(3) charity of their choice that
specializes in green education programs.
Nordic Energy Services supplies both the commercial and residential
markets with natural gas, electricity and renewable, "green" energy.

While Blue Planet Energy started the donation program last year,
this is the first year partnering with Nordic Energy Services. Nordic
